The Draftsman is responsible for preparing technical drawings, plans, and diagrams used in construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects. They work closely with architects, engineers, or designers to translate ideas into detailed, accurate plans using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
• Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.) to produce 2D and 3D models.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and ensure all changes are documented.
Ensure that designs comply with project requirements, safety standards, and local building codes.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing archives.
• Assist in estimating quantities, materials, and time required for projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of designs.
• Perform site visits if needed to gather data and support implementation.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Draftsman or similar role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks, SketchUp).
• Diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with engineers, architects, or construction teams.
Preferred (Optional):
• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., architectural, mechanical, civil).
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) standards (especially in architecture and construction).
• Valid UAE driving license is a plus.
